Interview Tips
- Everything you mention in your SOP or introduction becomes fair game - prepare accordingly. (Anmol Mishra)
- Your introduction will literally decide everything: mention motivation, research interest, and courses you liked - there is a good chance they will ask from those. (Aryaman Kolhe)
- Note down all things you want to mention beforehand - internships, research experience, papers that excited you. The interview is fast-paced and you should not regret missing anything. (Aryaman Kolhe)
- Be honest about gaps; professors respond with encouragement, not judgment. (Anmol Mishra)
- CGPA is not the only deciding factor; projects, GSoC, and research are strong points - highlight your strongest asset. (Arijeet Paul)
- Focus on subjects taught in your 2nd year. (Arijeet Paul)
- Show familiarity with specific IIITH labs - sets you apart from other candidates. (Aryaman Kolhe)
- Be prepared for the panel to skip your intro entirely and dive straight into technical questions. (Nihaal, via Arijeet Paul)
